The CommScope 531163-036-00 is a STARLINE™ Return Equalizer, ordering code SRE-85-2, from the SRE-*-* series of RF accessories. STARLINE Return Equalizers are designed to equalize fixed lengths of coaxial cable in the return path and are available in 2 dB steps from 0 dB through 20 dB depending on the series. This variant serves the 5-85 MHz return passband (legacy N-split) with 2 dB of equalization.
The SRE-*-* plug-in can be installed in legacy BT100, MB100, MBV3100 and BLE100 General Instrument/Motorola amplifiers; the CommScope 1.2 GHz MB120 and BLE120 amplifiers also feature this legacy footprint and accept the SRE-*-*. A plastic shell permits installation and removal through the chassis cover without a tool or removal of the chassis cover hardware, and all current and former accessories are backward/forward compatible.
