The Corning Gilbert GRS-715-CH-QRP-T (distributor code GRS715CHQRPT) is a three-piece pin-type trunk and distribution connector for .715 QR hardline coaxial cable. It seizes both the outer jacket and the center conductor of the cable, and the pin extends through the connector body to be retained in the equipment housing.
It belongs to Corning Gilbert's GRS 3-Piece QR+ Series, which incorporates a non-metallic support sleeve to reduce craft sensitivity at the connector-to-cable interface and to compensate for variability in the cable coring process. The series is designed to meet SCTE interface specifications and preserves shielding integrity across the bandwidth spectrum.
For .715 cable, installation uses a 15/16 in. [24 mm] center-conductor trim length and 1/2 in. [12.7 mm] jacket removal, with the back nut tightened to approximately 35 lbs. ft. [50 Nm]. Heat shrink tubing over the finished installation is recommended and required on flooded QR cable.
