The Greenlee 70PT-11/16 is an 11/16" x 24" impact auger wood bit from the Nail Eater® Extreme Long utility auger line, intended for boring utility poles, logs, joists and beams. It is built from durable induction-hardened steel for longer bit life, with an improved design Greenlee states lasts 5X longer than prior designs.
Per the Greenlee Nail Eater utility auger bit datasheet, catalog number 70PT-11/16 is sized for 11/16" hardware and bores a 3/4" hole, with a 24" overall length and 14.7" twist length. Greenlee notes that bit extensions should be used if additional length is required. Distributor data lists the bit as uncoated alloy steel with a right-hand cut.
