The Maloney V3 Phantom Splice / Test Station is an above-ground splice and test station for buried utility lines that is intentionally disguised to look like an ordinary Maloney LineMRKR line marker. The manufacturer notes that conventional splice/test stations look different from their surroundings, which makes them a tempting target of vandals, scavengers and the curious; the Phantom avoids this because, to the untrained eye, it appears to be just another line marker seen across the country.
It is intended to be incorporated into line marking projects where splice access and test points must remain inconspicuous.
