The Southwire 56983301 is a 4 AWG TELCOFLEX® L4 (List 4) telecom power cable supplied on a 4500 ft reel with a gray finish. It is built on a Class I rope-bunched tinned copper conductor of 126 strands conforming to ASTM B-33, with an opaque Mylar separator tape, limited-smoke non-halogenated TelcoHyde® 5221 insulation rated 105°C dry / 60°C wet, a 1 mil clear Mylar separator, an overall natural cotton braid per UL 44, and a moisture-resistant, fire-retardant saturant with colored finisher.
Allowable ampacity is 85 A at 75°C and 95 A at 90°C, with DC resistance of 0.274 at 25°C and a nominal total weight of 220 lbs/1000'. Southwire specifies the product for Central Office, CATV head end, data center and cell tower power applications.
